SMART WOOD has officially completed the assessment for expanding its sustainable forest management certifications (FSC FM and VFCS/PEFC FM), increasing the total certified forest area from 4,365 hectares to 8,575 hectares.
Many by-products from the wood processing industry are being effectively utilized and transformed into high-value products that are increasingly in demand across global markets. Notably, Vietnamese enterprises have, for the first time, generated over USD 1 billion in export revenue from this segment.
According to data from the Vietnam Timber and Forest Products Association (VIFOREST), in the first six months of 2025, Vietnam exported more than 3.9 million tons of wood pellets, reaching a value of USD 564.77 million—an increase of 33.3% in volume and 38.8% in value compared to the same period in 2024
